This is a website for traditional bhajans of Shree Ramkabir Bhakta Samaj.

In the old days in India, the Bhaktas, living close to each other, formed bhajan mandals to sing bhajans. Each Bhakta village had a bhajan mandal. They sang bhajans at all occasions including births, marriages and deaths. In the past 50 years, many Bhakta families migrated abroad. As a result, most bhajan mandals at villages dissolved.

In the early 1980s, Shree Ramkabir Bhakta Samaj of USA published Nadbrahma (Shree Ramkabir Bhakta Bhajan Sangrah) - a bhajan book consisting of over 900 bhajans. It also distributed a set of audio cassettes of traditional bhajans ("શ્રી રામકબીર ભક્ત ભજન સંસ્કૃતિનો અમર વારસો") by Syadla Bhajan Mandal and Tarsadi Bhajan Mandal with the aim of preserving this great bhajan tradition of ours. Many youngsters at the time, including yours truly, were inspired to learn to sing traditional bhajans from this audio cassette set.

Keeping in mind the new generation, we have created this website with the aim of preserving this great bhajan tradition of Shree Ramkabir Bhakta Samaj and reaching the young bhajan enthusiasts across the globe. Bhajan pages include bhajan text, English transliteration, English translation, audio and also video of the bhajan. The work on building bhajan pages complete with English translations is ongoing. We are continually working to build this site and need your valuable input.
