મેલી નવ જાશો રે મીઠડા માવજી, તમને કહું છું વારંવાર;
અળગા નવ રહેશો રે એક અર્ધ ઘડી, હું તો વિનવું વારંવાર ... ટેક
mEli nav jāsho re mithadā māv-ji, tam-ne kahuň chhuň vāram-vār;
alagā nav rahesho re eka ardha ghadi, huň to vinavu vāram-vār  ... repeat

ચુપ કરીને રે અરે એમ નવ ચાલીએ, મારો થોડો થોડો જીવ થાય;
કેમ કરી રહીએ રે હરિ અમે એકલાં, સુનું મંદિર ખાવા ધાય ... ૧
chupa kari-ne re are ema nav chāli-e, māro thodo thodo jiva thāy;
kem kari rahi-e re hari ame ekalā, sunu mandira khāvā dhāy ... 1

સગાંને સ્નેહીઓ રે વ્હાલું મને કોઇ નહિ, તમો મારા અંતર્યામી છો નાથ;
પ્રભુ તમો વિના રે પ્રાણ અમો છાંડીશું, જાણે મારી બાલપણાની વાત ... ૨
sagā-ne snehi-o re vahālu mane ko-ii nahi, tamo mārā aňtar-yāmi chho nāth;
prabhu tamo vinā re prān amo chhāňdi-shuň, jāne māri bāla-panā-ni vāt ... 2

એકવાર આવો રે આણી આવી પ્રીતડી, તમો મારા આત્માના આધાર;
દાસ જેના રસિયા રે રસિયા નાથજી, વ્હાલા તમો વિના કેમ રહેવાય ... ૩
eka-vār āvo re āni āvi pritadi, tamo mārā ātmā-nā ādhār;

English Translation:
0. O’ my heartthrob Mavji, I beseech you ever again, not to leave me;
Don’t you be away even for a half a second, I plead you once again.

1. You can’t leave just so wordlessly, my heart sinks in an ocean of pain;
How can I remain forlorn, this empty temple seems to hound me evilly.

2. None of my near one seems dearer to me, you, just rule over my heart;
O’ God, devoid of you, I’ll give up life; as I loved you since I was a child.
