જા ઘટ પ્રેમ ન સંચરે સો ઘટ જાનું મસાન
જ્યોં લુહાર કી ધોંસરી સાંસ લેત બીન પ્રાન

Jā ghat prem na sanchare so ghat jānu masān
Jyoň luhār ki dhoňsari sans let bin prān

The body in which love is not constantly circulating, I consider that body as a dead one. That body is like the bellows of a blacksmith, which also breaths but has no life in it.

Purport:
A person in whose veins love is not circulating constantly like blood, Kabir considers that body a dead one – though alive and moving around. He compares such a body with the bellows of a blacksmith which also breaths but has no life in it. Just as breathing air is essential to live; love and compassion for all creations of nature, are also essential for a peaceful life.

જે માનવ શરીરની નસોમાં લોહીની જેમ સતત પ્રેમ ફર્યા કરતો ના હોય તે શરીરને તો મરેલું જ સમજવું. માનવી ભલે જીવતો જાગતો, હરતો ફરતો હોય પણ હૈયામાં બીજા પ્રત્યે પ્રેમ અને કરુણા ના હોય તો તે મળદુ જ ગણાય. કારણ કે લુહારની ધમણ પણ શ્વાસ તો લે જ છે. પરંતુ એમાં પ્રાણ નથી હોતો.

(જીવન જીવવા માટે જેમ શ્વાસોશ્વાસ અનિવાર્ય છે, તેમ શાંતિભર્યું જીવન જીવવા માટે બીજા જીવો પ્રત્યે પ્રેમ અને કરુણા હોવાં જરૂરી છે. નહીતર એ જીવન હરતા ફરતા મરડા જેવું છે.)
